About Nottingham Northern Swimming Club...

Nottingham Northern Swimming Club was founded over 100 years ago in 1908.

Affiliated to the Nottinghamshire ASA, Nottingham Northern Swimming Club is one of the oldest swimming clubs in the country with the enviable reputation of being one of the best teaching clubs in the region.

Apart from our Head Coach, all those who help at the club are unpaid volunteers. The club relies on its members to get involved and help in any way they feel able to do so.

OUR MISSION STATEMENT

Nottingham Northern is a friendly, competitive swimming club which welcomes both female and male swimmers of all abilities, from all backgrounds and cultures, able bodied and with disabilities from the age of five years old.

We aim to provide a supportive and encouraging atmosphere where all swimmers can improve their technique and stamina enabling them to swim the very best they are able. This may involve swimming at club level, at Notts ASA galas, at County Galas and beyond.

We are a family friendly club. As all swimmers swim at the same time and place in different lanes and tanks, our club allows children within the same family to come together.

All coaches, poolside helpers and team managers are CRB checked and undergo child protection training.
